Training Challenges

CAD Challenges

The CAD team was challenged with learning SolidWorks, and completing several if not all of the tutorials. As well, they had to demonstrate their abilities by building the FRC kitbot. As well, Vex experience was required so that the team could have a firmer grasp of the design process.

Programming Challenges

This year the programming team was challenged to attend a Java workshop, as well as write the teleop code for last year's robot within a week of that same workshop. The team also set up an SVN for sharing all the files, making communication easier.

Website Challenges

There are much fewer people on the website team this year than last which has caused a strain on resources and the amount of time each team member will need to work on the content and design of the site. The team is challenging itself to try and come up with unique pages that will differentiate it from other websites out there.

Admin Challenges

This year the team is meeting in two different locations which makes communication a challenge. Parts of the robot will be built in different places and then in the last few weeks, the team will need to come together and make a functioning robot.
